 The DC boys of
Leather is a
fraternal social group with a common dedication to service and devotion
to the
leather community. We keep ourselves busy with bar nights, field trips,
meetings, and helping out wherever we can. Because we're an active
social club
we encourage those interested in membership to come out and meet us
before applying.
We have two levels of membership to chose from, 'brotherhood' and
'associate membership.' Brothers are full members of the club.
Associates are individuals who want to support the DC boys and our
mission, but don't necessarily want to fully participate as a brother.
Requirements for Brotherhood:
- Applicants for brotherhood must submit an application
for membership (below), have a sponsor in the club prior to applying,
and want to participate in club events.
- Once approved, applicants participate in a four month
pledge period where they are expected to attend and assist in all club
events. During this period the applicant is given an opportunity to
meet the brothers and learn how the DC boys work. At the conclusion of
the pledge period applicants are voted on, and if approved become
brothers.
- Brothers are expected to pay dues ($70 annually)
- Brothers are expected to participate in club events.
 Requirements for Associate Membership:
- Support the DC boys of Leather's Mission
- Attend at least one event annually
- Pay a one time associate fee ($10) and refundable
patch deposit ($15).
